Stites & Harbison Welcomes Juan Dawson to the Atlanta Office

ATLANTA—Juan Dawson has joined Stites & Harbison, PLLC’s Atlanta office as an attorney in the firm’s Torts & Insurance Practice Group. He brings experience dealing with complex regulatory matters representing clients in federal and state administrative proceedings, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in the Southeast and nationally.
Dawson’s practice focuses on all aspects of commercial litigation, representing clients in state and federal courts. Additionally, he represents lawyers, accountants, and other professionals against negligence and malpractice claims. He has experience in a variety of legal proceedings including offensive and defensive discovery, drafting motions and pleadings, and providing oral advocacy on behalf of clients.
Before joining Stites & Harbison, Dawson was an attorney representing energy and utility clients before state and federal administrative bodies. He brings experience synthesizing various governmental regulations, rulemakings and policies, and guiding clients through regulatory proceedings.
Dawson earned his J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and his B.A. from American University. While in law school, he was a judicial extern for the Honorable C. Darnell Jones, II at the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He was also a legal extern in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Prior to law school, Dawson served the American public as an Associate Intern at The White House. He was also a Congressional Legislative Intern with a current United States Senator.
Outside of the firm, Dawson is active in a variety of activities and organizations. He serves as an advisory group member for the Law School Admission Council and is a member of the Young Professionals Board of the American Red Cross. He regularly volunteers with legal aid organizations to support veterans and medically-needy individuals. Dawson is admitted to practice law in Georgia.
