Shea Luna is an attorney in the firm’s Lexington, Kentucky office where she is a member of the Health Care Service Group. She devotes her practice to health care law, focusing on regulatory and compliance, insurance and data privacy and security matters. Shea’s health care law experience also includes physician self-referral, licensure and certificate of need, telehealth, medical staff and peer review, 340B drug discount program and reimbursement. Shea is Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security with the American Health Information Management Association.

Prior to joining the firm, Shea was Associate General Counsel for Health Affairs at the University of Kentucky representing and advising the University on its UK HealthCare operations. Prior to that, Shea worked for the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services representing the Departments of Public Health and Medicaid and was Assistant Counsel at Chenoweth Law Office representing school boards in the areas of labor and employment, education and privacy. Shea began her legal career as Assistant Counsel for the United States Department of Energy, Oak Ridge Operations Office, Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Shea enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, and two children, Sofia and Annaliese. Shea is an active member of her church and also enjoys traveling, running and hiking.
