Recent Assignments

Product Liability. Regional litigation counsel for a Fortune 150 company regarding product liability matters arising from automation solutions and commercial and residential solutions, as well as manufacturers of consumer and industrial products. Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator conducting fire scene inspections and laboratory examinations to provide proactive case assessments and effective defense at trial. Advisor to mobile home manufacturer intermediary arising from Hurricane Katrina toxic tort and product liability class action lawsuits filed in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana.

Commercial Litigation. Counsel for privately held company shareholder disputes, non-disclosure agreements, covenants not to compete, and injunctive matters. Arbitration counsel under the American Arbitration Association’s Commercial Rules. Civil defense and prosecution experience under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Privacy & Data Security. Immediate past Chief Information Security Officer and Co-Chair of Privacy & Data Security Group. Assist clients with investigating, mitigating, and notice requirements for data breach incidents. Coordination with law enforcement concerning data security events and recapture of funds. Advisor to on-line retailers, contractors, manufacturers, financial institutions, legal service providers, and health care providers on best practices to develop and implement privacy and data breach policies, procedures, and training.

General Counsel Services. General Counsel services for product liability, commercial, civil rights, and tort liability litigation representation. Litigation management for insurance retained counsel and matters, litigation hold requirements and e-discovery collection of data, crisis management, contract drafting, real estate transaction oversight, and representations for employment, unemployment, and workers compensation matters before federal and state agencies. Experienced legal partner directly working with company officers to provide risk analysis, develop legal strategy to align with business objectives, and set legal budgets. Experienced counselor to boards of directors to provide guidance and the retention and oversight of consulting services to aid boards and committees.

Additional Experience. Consumer Product Safety Act, patent litigation, commercial real estate litigation, and practice before various state administrative licensing agencies.
