GaBiz Magazine Honors Stites & Harbison Attorneys as 2026 Top Lawyers

ATLANTA—GaBiz magazine recently named three Stites & Harbison, PLLC attorneys as 2026 Top Lawyers. Dan Douglass, Bill Joseph and Shannon Sprinkle received honors for Construction Law, Tax Law and Commercial Law, respectively. The annual list of Atlanta’s top lawyers is based on a peer-review survey of attorneys within the state of Georgia conducted by Professional Research Services. GaBiz magazine is a business quarterly publication of Atlanta magazine.

Douglass is a Senior Member (Partner) based in the firm’s Atlanta office where he practices in the areas of construction law, business litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He is admitted to practice in all Georgia courts and numerous federal courts. He is a member of construction and ADR sections of the American, Georgia and Atlanta Bar Associations, and a past president of the Atlanta Bar Construction Law Section. He has been an active member of the Commercial Arbitrator Panel and Construction Mediator Panel of the American Arbitration Association for more than 25 years.

Joseph is a Member (Partner) in the Atlanta office. He is a member of the Business and Finance Service Group. He focuses his practice on transactional tax matters, counseling clients on domestic and international corporate mergers and acquisitions, partnerships and joint ventures. Joseph also regularly represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and state departments of revenue. He has represented clients from a variety of industries, including telecommunications, food manufacturers, insurance, banking and financial services, health care, technology, commercial and residential real estate development and private equity.

Sprinkle is a Member (Partner) in the Atlanta office. Her core practice for nearly 25 years has focused on professional malpractice, real estate and finance related claims. She has represented professionals, firms, and businesses of all sizes in their most high stakes litigation, ranging from financial fraud to product liability claims. Sprinkle routinely provides clients with valuable risk management advice and consultation to prevent claims, mitigate exposure and risk, and to respond to licensing, review boards or other professional governing body inquiries. She also serves as an outside general counsel for numerous professional service firms.
