Chrisandrea Turner Named Chair-Elect of the Kentucky Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Section
LEXINGTON, Ky.—At the Kentucky Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Law Section annual meeting, Stites & Harbison, PLLC attorney Chrisandrea Turner was named Chair-Elect of the Bankruptcy Law Section. Turner will serve a one-year term.
Turner is a Member (Partner) of Stites & Harbison based in the Lexington office and Chair of the firm’s Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy Service Group. She is a bankruptcy and creditors’ rights litigator focusing on corporate bankruptcy and restructuring and adversary proceeding defense. Turner regularly represents lenders, trade creditors, lessors and lessees, sureties and large creditors in Chapter 11 matters and complex bankruptcies around the country. Her litigation practice includes receiverships, preferential and fraudulent transfer defense in bankruptcies, nondischarge of debt adversaries and foreclosure. Her discipline of practice touches areas beyond bankruptcy, including environmental actions, healthcare matters and corporate transactions.
Outside of the firm, Turner stays active in various professional and community organizations. She is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation and the Women Lawyers Association. She also serves as a member of the Executive Committee of Leadership Kentucky’s Board of Directors. Turner is the former Chair of Women Leading Kentucky.
