When Michael Risley entered law school at the University of Kentucky, he admitted to being initially intimidated by his big-school, big-city classmates.
So, when asked where he got his undergraduate degree, he’d say, “a small university out west.” Which was technically true. The Owensboro, Kentucky, native had gone to little Murray State University in the southwestern corner of Kentucky.
