Stites & Harbison, PLLC, adds four new attorneys in October 2015

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Stites & Harbison, PLLC announces the addition of four new attorneys to the firm. Two of the attorneys are based in the Louisville, Ky., office; one is based in the Jeffersonville, Ind., office; and one is based in the Nashville, Tenn., office.

Louisville, Ky., Office Additions:

(image) Frederick R. (Reggie) Bentley joins the Business Litigation Service Group. He graduated cum laude in 2015 from the University of Notre Dame Law School. While in law school, Bentley was a member of the American Association of Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition National Finalist Team and a member of the Student Bar Association Admissions Committee. He also earned the Arthur A. May Award in 2015 as a moot court trial team member demonstrating excellence in trial advocacy and professional ethics. Bentley joined Stites & Harbison after serving as a summer associate for the firm in 2013 and 2014. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky.

(image) Jeff Moad joins the Business Litigation Service Group. He graduated first in his class from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2014. During law school, Moad earned 15 CALI Awards, served as an Articles Editor of the Kentucky Law Journal, and was the Presidential Advisor of the Student Bar Association Executive Board. Before joining Stites & Harbison, Moad served a one-year term as a law clerk for the Honorable John G. Heyburn II, U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Kentucky. Prior to his clerkship, he was a summer associate with the firm in 2012 and 2013. Moad is admitted to practice in Kentucky.


Jeffersonville, Ind., Office Addition:

(image) Chelsea Stanley joins the Torts & Insurance Practice Service Group. She graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif in 2015 from Indiana University Maurer School of Law – Bloomington. In law school, she was the notes and comments editor for the Indiana Law Journal. She was a semi-finalist in the spring 2014 Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition and served as a board member of the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition. Stanley joined the firm after participating in the firm’s summer associate program in 2013 and 2014. She also was an intern for Judge David Hamilton, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. She is admitted to practice in Indiana.

Nashville, Tenn., Office Addition:

(image) Ashley Goins joins the Domestic Relations and Business Litigation Service Groups. She graduated with high honors from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2015. In law school, she was a student advisor, a student ambassador, and was the fundraising chair for both UT Pro Bono and CASA’s VOLunteers. Goins spent much of her time serving as a student attorney in the Advocacy Clinic, the Domestic Violence Clinic, and the Education Practicum. She also participated in the 2013 Advocates’ Prize Moot Court Competition and was a member of the 2015 Entertainment Law Moot Court team. In 2015, she was published in The Forum: A Tennessee Student Legal Journal. Goins joined Stites & Harbison after participating in the firm’s summer associate program in 2014. Her past experience also includes interning for the Tennessee District Attorney’s Office, 7th Judicial District; the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services; and the Shelby County [Ohio] Public Defender’s Office. Recently, Goins was named as a Law Student for Justice by the Tennessee Supreme Court. She is admitted to practice in Tennessee.
