LexArts Elects Rebecca M.W. Sherman to Board of Directors

LEXINGTON, Ky.—LexArts recently elected Stites & Harbison, PLLC attorney Rebecca M.W. Sherman to its Board of Directors. She previously served on the organization’s Corporate Giving and Horse Mania Committees.
LexArts is a nonprofit community organization that works for the development of a strong and vibrant arts community as a means of enhancing the quality of life in central Kentucky. As both the area arts council and united arts fund, LexArts provides a wide range of programs and services designed to integrate the arts into daily life including the LexArts Gallery Hop, Lexington Youth Arts Council and ArtScope.
Sherman is a Member (Partner) based in the firm’s Lexington office and is a member of the Construction Service Group. Her practice focuses on advising clients throughout all phases of construction projects including planning, contract drafting and negotiation, project administration and disputes. Sherman represents owners, contractors and subcontractors in construction disputes and litigation. Additionally, she routinely represents professional athletes and entertainers in contract negotiations, business advice and litigation matters.
Outside of the firm, Sherman is active in a variety of professional and civic organizations. She is a 2022 Diversity Fellow of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Construction Law and is an Associate Fellow inductee with the Construction Lawyers Society of America. She serves as Chair for the Board of Directors of the Lexington Humane Society. Additionally, Sherman is a member of the Junior League of Lexington and Leadership Lexington’s Steering Committee and Alumni Association Board.
