LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Stites & Harbison is the first law firm with a presence in Kentucky and Tennessee to become a signatory of the New York County Lawyers’ Association (NYCLA) Diversity Statement.

“We are pleased to add our name to those of other leading law firms in the nation and be joined by national clients, such as DuPont and Bank of America,” said Kennedy Helm III, chairman of the firm. “Stites & Harbison is proud to be associated with NYCLA in this very important initiative.”

Signatories agree to support efforts to increase diversity in the legal profession. They also agree to respond to client requests for the number of hours worked on client matters by minority lawyers as well as the legal fees charged by those lawyers. Nearly 160 law firms and corporate law departments have become signatories of the NYCLA Diversity Statement at the time this release was written.
