Michael is an Attorney in the Louisville Office.  He advises and represents clients in a variety of business and legal matters, including complex commercial litigation, contract negotiations, regulatory matters, insurance coverage matters, civil litigation, business torts, and professional liability actions.

Recent Assignments

  • Currently involved in several complex contract disputes and insurance coverage matters
  • Member of a team of lawyers currently involved in a large patent infringement litigation involving international companies
  • Assisted team of attorneys in successfully securing indemnification in multi-million dollar environmental remediation and allocation dispute

Before Stites & Harbison

Michael joined Stites & Harbison in September 2006 after participating in the firm's summer associate program in 2004 and 2005.  Before that, Michael spent his summers teaching tennis lessons to adults and juniors at Owl Creek Country Club in Anchorage, Kentucky.

More Than Stites & Harbison

Michael is a volunteer attorney for the Center for Women and Families and the Legal Aid Society.  Michael served on the Legal Aid Society's Justice for All Campaign in 2011 and was the Co-Chair of the Associates Campaign in 2011.  He also served as the firm's representative for the Legal Aid Society's Associates Campaign in 2009 and 2010.

Besides Stites & Harbison

Outside of practicing, Michael enjoys hiking, mountain biking, playing the guitar and piano, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.  Michael is also an avid fan of college basketball and football.
