Morgan Ward focuses his practice on business litigation, including real estate related litigation. Mr. Ward joined the firm in 1989. He is listed in Kentucky Super Lawyers 2007 magazine.
Mr. Ward has handled a variety of federal and state court litigation matters associated with the Louisville Airport Improvement Program, the $780 million expansion of Louisville's International Airport for which Stites & Harbison has served as lead counsel since the program was announced in 1988. He has also been involved in substantial ERISA and lender liability litigation and title insurance company defense matters.

- Served as second chair before the U.S. Supreme Court in Itel Containers International Corp. v. Huddleston, 113 S.Ct. 1095 (1993), regarding the constitutionality of state taxes on cargo containers used in international commerce

More Than Stites & Harbison
Morgan serves on the Board of Directors of the Louisville Olmsted Conservancy, Inc. He also is on the board of the Louisville Bar Association and serves on committees that monitor the integrity of judicial elections and the provision of pro-bono legal services in the community for the Louisville Bar Association. Morgan coordinates much of the firm's pro-bono work in the Louisville office. In 1998, Mr. Ward was recognized as Outstanding Volunteer Lawyer by the Legal Aid Society. He is a past chair of the Board of Directors (2006) of the Legal Aid Society of Louisville and is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Housing Coalition.
