Community Involvement
Bill Schulman is a Registered U.S. Patent Attorney trained as a Biologist. His practice focuses primarily on protecting inventions in the fields of biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. He has been counseling clients in these industries for more than 25 years. Bill has deep experience in federal litigation involving all aspects of intellectual property and related fields, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and unfair competition. Bill was with the law firm of Larson & Taylor of Alexandria, Virginia, for more than 20 years, which followed his position as a Summer Associate for the law firm of Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto in New York City. Bill was a partner with Larson & Taylor for over ten years when they merged with Stites & Harbison in 2004. Bill has participated in a number of civic and cultural organizations including Shakespeare in the Parque, a non-profit cultural arts organization in Alexandria, Virginia, for which he served as a donor and pro bono attorney. He has also been active with the Jefferson County Historical Society of Charles Town, West Virginia, as both a member and pro bono attorney.Recent Assignments

Bill is an avid swimmer and hiker and also enjoys playing a spirited game of tennis or basketball when the weather is not too hot. He enjoys watching his daughter play soccer in the Alexandria Soccer Association where he has served as a coach and referee.
