NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Stites & Harbison, PLLC welcomes attorney Samuel A. Raque to the firm’s Nashville, Tenn., office. He joins the Intellectual Property & Technology Service Group as a Registered Patent Attorney. His practice will focus on intellectual property protection, including counseling clients on patent infringement, patentability, patent drafting and patent prosecution.
Prior to joining Stites & Harbison, Raque was a judicial law clerk with the United States Patent & Trademark Office’s (USPTO’s) Patent Trial and Appeal Board in Alexandria, Va. Before that he served as a Mechanical Patent Examiner for the USPTO’s Patent Examining Corps.
Raque earned his J.D. from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, cum laude, in 2019. He also earned his B.S. in Bioengineering, cum laude, from the University of Louisville J.B. Speed School of Engineering in 2016. Raque is admitted to practice in Tennessee and Kentucky. He is a member of the Tennessee Intellectual Property Law Association.
