NASHVILLE, Tenn.—The Nashville Downtown Partnership recently elected Stites & Harbison, PLLC attorney David Wicker to its Board of Directors. He will serve a three-year term beginning in January 2018.
The Nashville Downtown Partnership is a private sector nonprofit corporation established in 1994 with the purpose of making Downtown Nashville “the compelling urban center in the Southeast in which to LIVE, WORK, PLAY and INVEST.” Over the years, the Partnership has become a downtown leadership organization that focuses on business recruitment and retention, residential and retail development, public space management, access and transportation, communications and marketing.
David Wicker is a Member (Partner) based in Stites & Harbison’s Nashville office. His practice includes all aspects pertaining to the development, acquisition, sale and financing of commercial real estate. From obtaining financing and acquiring the raw land for project development, lease-up and ultimate disposition, he represents owners, developers, lenders and other participants in a wide array of real estate transactions. His practice also regularly involves providing guidance on corporate and commercial transactions.
Outside of the firm, Wicker is a member of Margaret Maddox YMCA Board of Directors, the Executive Council to the Tennessee Bar Association’s Real Estate Law Section and the Rotary Club of Nashville. He also serves on committees for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and Urban Land Institute Nashville. Wicker received the 2017 Attorney for Justice pro bono service award for his outstanding pro bono contributions and was named a finalist for the 2017 Nashville Emerging Leaders Award.
