David Wicker selected as a finalist for the 2018 Nashville Emerging Leader Awards

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and YP Nashville recently selected Stites & Harbison, PLLC attorney David Wicker as a finalist for the 2018 Nashville Emerging Leader Awards (NELAs).

The NELAs are presented annually to young professionals in Middle Tennessee between the ages of 21 and 40 for exceptional professional and community-building achievements. Five finalists are selected in 15 industry categories. A committee of community leaders and experts from each industry choose the finalists after reviewing essays, professional accolades, community involvement and leadership roles. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on July 26 at Lipscomb University.

David Wicker is a Member (Partner) based in Stites & Harbison’s Nashville office. His practice includes all aspects pertaining to the development, acquisition, sale and financing of commercial real estate. From obtaining financing and acquiring the raw land for project development, lease-up and ultimate disposition, he represents owners, developers, lenders and other participants in a wide array of real estate transactions. His practice also regularly involves providing guidance on corporate and commercial transactions.

Outside of the firm, Wicker is a member of the Nashville Downtown Partnership’s Board of Directors, Margaret Maddox YMCA’s Board of Directors, the Executive Council to the Tennessee Bar Association’s Real Estate Law Section and the Rotary Club of Nashville. He also serves on committees for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and Urban Land Institute Nashville. Wicker received the 2017 Attorney for Justice pro bono service award for his outstanding pro bono contributions and was named a finalist for the 2017 NELAs.
