Tom Halbleib, Jr., selected to Leadership Kentucky class of 2005

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 9, 2005)—Stites & Harbison partner Tom Halbleib, Jr., has been selected to participate in the 2005 class of Leadership Kentucky.

Before coming to Stites & Harbison in 1992, Mr. Halbleib served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Bailey Brown, Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Business, cum laude, from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law with high distinction.  Mr. Halbleib is admitted to practice in Kentucky.  He is a member of the firm's Business and Finance Service Group.

Ten attorneys or senior staff of Stites & Harbison have graduated from Leadership Kentucky.  These include Alfred S. Joseph, III, class of 1985, Walter R. Byrne, Jr., class of 1991, Bruce F. Clark, class of 1992, J. David Porter, class of 1993, Richard A. Vance, class of 1995, Harold C. Butler, class of 1999, Alex P. (Mike) Herrington, Jr., class of 2000, Janet A. Leadership Kentucky (www.leadershipky.org) annually selects 50 to 55 individuals statewide who exhibit leadership in their professional and volunteer activities.  Through a series of seven monthly, two-day sessions, participants come together to discuss new challenges and complex issues facing the state.  The programs often feature speakers who are high-level political, social and non-profit leaders through a series of seminars held throughout the state.  Members of the class also build relationships and network with other professionals in their community and build personal leadership skills that help advance their professional and volunteer careers.  Leadership Kentucky was created in 1984 as a non-profit educational organization.
