As surrounding states expand gambling operations, Kentucky is once again debating whether to add slot machines at tracks to preserve the Bluegrass State's reputation as the horseracing capital of the world.

Gambling expansion came up last week during a joint appearance by Democratic Governor Steve Beshear and his opponent, Republican Senate President David Williams, at a two-hour forum hosted by the Kentucky Farm Bureau.
