Jennifer Landrum Elliott elected Chairperson of the Board of Kentucky Retirement Systems

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The Board of Trustees of Kentucky Retirement Systems (KRS) recently elected Stites & Harbison partner Jennifer L. Elliott as Chairperson of the KRS Board of Trustees. The appointment is effective through April 2012. Elliott also sits on the Audit, Investment, Retiree Health, and Legal, Compliance & Governance Committees of the board, and serves as Chair of both the Retiree Health and Legal, Compliance & Governance committees.
KRS oversees three retirement systems: the Kentucky Employees Retirement System (KERS), County Employees Retirement System (CERS) and the State Police Retirement System (SPRS). Currently, KRS serves over 337,000 active, inactive and retired members in the combined systems, and administrates approximately $14 billion in assets.
Elliott is a member of Stites & Harbison, PLLC, based in Louisville, Ky., where she practices regulatory and transactional health care law. She is the past Chair of the Health Law Section of the Louisville Bar Association and serves as Vice President for the Health Law Section of the Kentucky Bar Association. Elliott serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of the Centre College Alumni Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors of both The Kentucky Academy of Hospital Attorneys and Sarabande Books, Inc. In 2010, she was named one of the Partners in Health Care by Business First for her vital work for the health care industry.
