NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Stites & Harbison, PLLC recently partnered with First Farmers and Merchants Bank and the Heritage Foundation of Franklin and Williamson County to provide pro bono legal services to help secure a $3.2 million construction loan for restoration of the historic Franklin Theatre.
April 7 marked the official groundbreaking of the new Franklin Theater to celebrate future renovations that will include a new balcony, new main floor bathrooms and an office space addition.
“Stites & Harbison has been a valuable partner in this effort, contributing pro bono legal services for both the acquisition of the theatre property as well as the construction financing,” said Mary Pearce, executive director of the Heritage Foundation of Franklin and Williamson County.
Stites attorneys Julian Bibb, Bryan Echols and Miranda Christy all contributed legal support on the project.
“Our firm has always valued historic preservation as a part of our pro bono efforts,” said Julian Bibb, member of Stites & Harbison. “Whether through historic open space preservation or renovations such as this, we appreciate how much these efforts impact the local economy and quality of life enjoyed by Williamson County residents.”
