Jennifer Kovalcik named chair of LBA Intellectual Property Section and vice chair of AIPLA Trademark Legislation Committee

LOUISVILLE, Ky. —Stites & Harbison announced today that Jennifer L. Kovalcik was named chair of the Louisville Bar Association's Intellectual Property Section and vice chair of the American Intellectual Property Law Association's Trademark Legislation Committee. Her term for both roles is one year.
Kovalcik is an associate in the firm's Louisville, Ky., office where she is a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Service Group. Her practice concentrates on designing and implementing intellectual property protection plans, enforcing intellectual property assets, software licensing and media law.
She also focuses on prosecuting trademark and copyright registration applications, litigating trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings as well as negotiating and drafting licenses and other contracts that implicate intellectual property or technology rights. Kovalcik is involved in a variety of litigation in both federal and state courts.
Kovalcik is admitted to practice in Kentucky; the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky and the Southern District of Indiana; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
