LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 21, 2007)—Stites & Harbison announced that Brian H. Meldrum and Scott R. Townsend joined the firm in the Louisville, Ky., office.

Brian H. Meldrum is an associate and is a member of the Business Litigation Service Group.  His practice focuses on business litigation, creditors' rights, corporate bankruptcy and restructuring.  Prior to joining Stites & Harbison, Meldrum was an associate with Jenner & Block LLP of Chicago.  While there, he worked in the firm's commercial law practice group.  He is admitted to practice in Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Scott R. Townsend is an associate and is a member of the Capital Markets Service Group.  His practice is concentrated in representing lenders in connection with commercial lending transactions, with an emphasis on capital market lending and related issues.  Before joining Stites & Harbison, Townsend was an associate with Young & Brooks, L.L.P., in Houston, where he served as counsel for numerous municipal utility districts across Southeast Texas.  He is admitted to practice in Kentucky and Texas.
