ATLANTA—Business leaders and foreign dignitaries who make Atlanta their home celebrated Koninginnedag, the Dutch national holiday for the Queen's Birthday, with a symposium on "Doing Business with the Dutch" and reception at the Southern Center for International Studies.

The focus of discussion centered on how businesses in the United States and the Netherlands can best collaborate on business ventures in both countries.

More than 70 Dutch companies employ 27,900 people in Georgia, with an investment of more than $2.5 billion and more than 300 operating facilities.
The business symposium featured Ewoud Swaak, Honorary Consul for the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Jilko Andringa, Managing Director of Operation for temporary staffing company Randstad USA; Mark van Weegen, Vice President and Partner of management company A.T. Kearney; and David Golden, Partner of multi-family investment and development company Pollack Partners. The symposium was moderated by Jim Blair, Regional Director of Business Development for the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
