March 9, 2006—Stites & Harbison announced today that Robert W. Lanum and J.D. Humphries, III were chosen as Super Lawyers by Law & Politics Magazine.  This is the third year in a row Mr. Lanum has been named and the second year in a row Mr. Humphries received the honor.

Mr. Lanum is Of Counsel to the firm and was formerly the Partner in Charge of the Jeffersonville, Ind. office.  He is active in corporate, trusts, estates and tax law.  He has practiced law for more than 35 years.  He is a member and the former chairman of the Regional Leadership Coalition and Chairman of the Paul Ogle Foundation, Inc.  He also serves on the Board of Directors of Indiana University Foundation.

Mr. Humphries is a Member of the firm.  He manages the Atlanta office and has more than 30 years of experience handling sophisticated business transactions and difficult litigation.  His practice focus is on business and personal problem solving through negotiation and litigation.
