- Successfully defended an appeal on a subcontractor's claim for over $1 million on a hospital project.
- Obtained a summary judgment against an owner's $1 million defect claim on a sewer line project and successfully defended the summary judgment at the Court of Appeals.
- Successfully litigated and achieved a favorable settlement for engineering firm wrongfully terminated by private hospital conglomerate.
- Successfully defended a general contractor against an electrical subcontractor's $600,000 loss of productivity claim involving installation of equipment at an automotive plant.
- Represented general contractor in claim against subcontractor for delays and defective work arising from major Federal government project.
- Represented steel fabricator in multi-million dollar arbitration arising out of construction of a large paper products manufacturing facility in Missouri.
- Represented steel fabricator in negotiations associated with $80 million structural steel contract for high rise in New York City.
- Represent regional and national construction trade associations in contract negotiations, anti-trust and international trade matters.
- Represented general contractor and two subcontractors who asserted delay and inefficiency claims against a state finance department. The claims were settled for approximately $1 million following direct negotiations with the cabinet secretary.
- Represented American Institute of Steel Construction in extended evidentiary hearings before the U.S. Department of Labor. These hearings were held in connection with proposed OSHA regulations affecting the fabricated structural steel industry.
- Represented subcontractor in claim for additional compensation arising from work on major project in Toronto, Canada.
- Successfully defended a general contractor on the appellate level in affirming summary judgment in a $1 million claim by a subcontractor.
- Successfully arbitrated steel construction dispute to $2.5 million in claims.
- Mounted challenge in D.C. federal court challenging the enforcement of a federal OSHA regulation that sought to impose increased restrictions on the steel fabrication industry.
- Successfully asserted a design-builder's seven-figure claim for professional negligence against an engineering and testing firm. The client achieved a favorable settlement following favorable pre-trial rulings and mediation.
- Represented concrete subcontractor in $1 million dispute with general contractor and suppliers on hospital construction project in Macon, Georgia.
- Our team of state and local tax attorneys have successfully represented one of the nation's oldest water tank manufacturers/contractors in protests of both sales and use tax and property tax audits before the Protest Resolution Division at the Department of Revenue.
