  • Stites attorneys have served in general counsel positions for various sectarian groups including the Episcopal Archdioceses of Kentucky and Lexington, Kentucky, and the Catholic Archdiocese of Lexington.  In these capacities, they assisted the organizations with tax exemption matters as well as corporate, commercial, real estate and employment legal matters.
  • Successfully obtained dismissal of the sexual abuse cases against the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lexington, including the clarification by the Kentucky Supreme Court on the press's right to publish under First Amendment arguments, materials stricken from a Complaint.
  • Assisted largest church in Kentucky with its $55 million loan to finance its $90 million construction project.
