Overview

The Music City Center, Nashville’s new 2.1 million square foot convention facility, is a fascinating engineering and construction endeavor.  You are invited to tour this $585 million construction site on Thursday, October 20, 2011.

The site visit is hosted by Matt DeVries, construction attorney at Stites & Harbison and founder of bestpracticesconstructionlaw.com, and will feature a construction update and personal tour by Lee Delong, Project Executive with Bell/Clark JV, the general contractor.

In his role as Project Executive, Lee plays an integral part in the success of the project, serving as the individual who is responsible and accountable for its ontime delivery, within budget and at the highest level of quality, while maintaining the safety of all project staff, field labor, client personnel and the surrounding community. He monitors construction and financial activities and serves as Bell/Clark’s representative with primary financial and contractual responsibility for the project. 

Proper Attire

• Flat, close-toed shoes (no gym shoes, flip flops, open-toed shoes or heels)
• Long pants only (no shorts, dresses or skirts)
• Shirts with sleeves
• Hard hats and eye protection will be provided

• 4:00 p.m. Meet at Stites & Harbison, 401 Commerce Street, 8th Floor, Nashville, TN 37211 (FREE PARKING AVAILABLE)
• 4:15 p.m. Walk as a group to the site for a guided tour.
• 5:30 p.m. Return to Stites & Harbison for cocktails and networking.
