AUTM's global network of members come from more than 350 universities, research institutions, teaching hospitals and government agencies as well as hundreds of companies involved with managing and licensing innovations derived from academic and nonprofit research.

This AUTM 2010 Annual Meeting will offer improved education track schedule, better options for attendees.  In addition to the debates, the meeting will offer new programs for beginners, specific tracks designed for seasoned technology transfer professional, an expanded CLE program and new networking opportunities.

SIG-1 Biotechnology and Life Sciences Patent Protection - Moderator: The Biotechnology and Life Sciences Patent Prosecution Special Interest Group addresses developing patent rules, case law, and statutory law that impact intellectual property rights in biotechnology and life sciences.  The Group will discuss relevant issues and strategies for addressing such issues from the perspectives of universities and licenses of university-owned technology.
