Community Involvement
Spencer Harmon's practice includes all aspects of real estate transactions and commercial lending, including environmental related issues, corporate law, and commercial litigation. Formerly with Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, he has been active in a major mortgage foreclosure and a successful annexation challenge centering on 300 acres. He is a LEED Accredited Professional®.
Recent Assignments
- Completed a major mortgage foreclosure action against a golf course development involving numerous lien holders and a unique issue of Indiana law
- Reviewed and revised commercial and consumer loan documentation for Indiana compliance, including the Uniform Consumer Credit Code for several significant financial institutions
- Successfully prosecuted an annexation challenge involving approximately 300 acres

Before Stites & Harbison
Spencer was a partner with Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs for many years before joining the firm. While at Wyatt, Spencer practiced in the areas of real estate and commercial lending, corporate and environmental law. Spencer served as a Captain in the U.S. Army from 1964-69.
More than Stites & Harbison
Mr. Harmon has been involved with a variety of community activities in Southern Indiana. He is a member of One Southern Indiana, Inc. and its Economic Development Council. He is a Board member of the Regional Leadership Coalition and is also a member of Leadership Southern Indiana.
