Community Involvement
Anne's practice focuses entirely on the construction industry. She represents contractors, design-builders, owners, developers and design professionals. She provides advice to project participants prior to commencement of the project, and resolves problems arising either during the project or post-project completion. She has been involved with projects that range from industrial and commercial distribution centers, pipeline construction and chemical manufacturing facilities to highway construction and energy production facilities including coal gasification and biomass.
Anne is a member of the firm's Management Committee, member and former Chair of the Construction Service Group and Co-Chair of the Lexington Office Recruiting Committee and the Diversity Committee. She is listed in Chambers USA, "America's Leading Lawyers for Business (2011), The Best Lawyers in America® (2007-2012) in Construction Law and Construction Litigation and the Kentucky Super Lawyers magazine (2007-2011), where she was also listed among the Top 25 Women Lawyers in the state in 2007-2011. She is also a Fellow in the American College of Construction Lawyers.
Recent Assignments
- Successfully defended a multifaceted challenge of a PSD air permit by the Sierra Club and other citizens' groups relating to the Cash Creek coal gasification facility
- Successfully arbitrated three-month multi-million dollar claim on behalf of a design/builder against a Georgia tire manufacturing facility, and defended backcharge claims of the facility owner
- Successfully litigated a case for a Minnesota bridge painting contractor, its subcontractor and its surety against the Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Her clients achieved a $12 million settlement from the Cabinet, the largest settlement paid in the history of the Transportation Cabinet.
- Negotiated successful resolution of a multi-million dollar dispute with a contractor and its surety regarding the failure of the contractor to timely complete installation of a gas pipeline under the Spring River in Iowa

Before going to law school, Anne worked as an intern at the Kentucky Attorney General's Office for a year, and then worked as a paralegal, specializing in construction cases, for six years.

Anne is an avid runner, occasional fly fisherperson and frustrated golfer.
