Community Involvement
Jennifer Landrum Elliott focuses her practice on regulatory and transactional health care law. She regularly counsels health care clients on federal Fraud & Abuse and Stark laws, HIPAA privacy rules, certificate of need laws, Medicare reimbursement rules and other matters. She is also a frequent author and lecturer on health care topics for both national and local organizations. Jennifer was named to the 2010 Partners in Health Care by Business First for her vital work for the health care industry and was named a 2011 Forty under 40 also by Business First.

- Outside general counsel to university-affiliated academic medical center
- Represent new insurance company in start up operations, including corporate and regulatory insurance form and policy development and approval filings
- Frequent representation of both hospitals and physicians in practice purchase, physician employment, and physician recruitment transactions
- Representation of health care industry clients, as well as vendors to the health care industry, in the development of HIPAA Privacy and Security policies, procedures and forms

Before Stites & Harbison
While in law school, Ms. Elliott served as a federal Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Theodore McMillian on the U.S. 8th Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis, Missouri. She was also managing editor of the Saint Louis University Law Journal.
More than Stites & Harbison
In 2009, Ms. Elliott was appointed to the Kentucky Retirement Systems Board of Trustees by Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and was recently elected Chair of the Board (2011-2012). She also sits on the Audit, Investment, Retiree Health, and Legal, Compliance & Governance Committees of the KRS board, and serves as Chair of both the Retiree Health and Legal, Compliance & Governance committees. She is the past Chair of the Health Law Section of the Louisville Bar Association and also serves as Vice President for the Health Law Section of the Kentucky Bar Association. Jenni also serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of the Centre College Alumni Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors of both The Kentucky Academy of Hospital Attorneys and Sarabande Books, Inc.
