Nicholas Trenkle is an Associate in Alexandria where he is a member of the Intellectual Property & Technology Service Group.  He is a Registered U.S. Patent Attorney.

Mr. Trenkle's experience includes preparing and prosecuting U.S. patent applications, counseling clients on patent infringement, validity, freedom-to-operate, and licensing issues, collaborating with foreign counsel to achieve client-desired outcomes regarding foreign patent applications, and providing research and counseling concerning matters related to intellectual property litigation.

Prior to joining Stites & Harbison, Mr. Trenkle was an Associate for two years with Cantor Colburn LLP, where he also worked as a Law Clerk.  He has also worked as a Judicial Intern for a federal district court judge and a Legal Intern for a production company and distributor of media programming.
