Cooper is a member of the firm's Creditors' Rights & Bankruptcy Service Group and joined the firm in 2007. Cooper's practice includes commercial foreclosure work, representation of creditors in bankruptcy court, and defending lender liability claims. While in law school, Cooper was a member of the Bankruptcy Moot Court Team and participated in the Conrad B. Duberstein Moot Court Competition at St. Johns University School of Law. Prior to joining Stites & Harbison, Cooper served as a judicial clerk for the Hon. William L. Stocks, Chief Judge, and the Hon. Thomas W. Waldrep, both United States Bankruptcy Judges for the Middle District of North Carolina. Cooper serves as a volunteer attorney for the Legal Aid Society. When not practicing, Cooper enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.Recent Assignments
