Before Stites & Harbison
Prior to returning to graduate school to get her J.D. and M.B.A., Karen had a career in human resources. Most recently, Karen was the Vice-President of Human Resources at Metro United Way. She helped guide the management, staff, and volunteers through major organizational events, such as: an executive search for a new CEO, an organizational restructure, a comprehensive employee policy manual revision, a benefits review, and a classification and compensation review.
More Than Stites & Harbison
Karen is a community volunteer, currently serving as an officer on the Board of Directors at GuardiaCare and on the University of Louisville Law School Alumni Council, and as a member of the Metro United Way Human Resources Committee.
Besides Stites & Harbison
Karen and her husband stay busy with five grown children, a granddaughter, several race horses, and a side business. In their spare time, they spend their summers with their family boating, skiing, and tubing.
