Michael Kim is an Associate in the Alexandria office.  He is a member of the Business Litigation Service Group and the Class Action Practice Group.  Michael's practice encompasses a wide range of business and commercial litigation matters, including class action, real property and intellectual property litigation.

Recent Assignments

  • Member of team that defeated certification of class and collective action claims in Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour suit
  • Member of team that defeated certification of class action claims involving interest crediting practices for fixed deferred annuities
  • Currently assisting in the defense of numerous class actions

Recent Speaking Engagements and Publications

Before Stites & Harbison

Michael joined Stites & Harbison in September 2007, after participating in the firm's summer associate program in 2006. During the summer of 2005, he was an intern at the University of Miami Children & Youth Law Clinic, representing foster children in dependency hearings. In the Spring of 2007, Michael was a Certified Legal Intern at the Miami Public Defender's Office. Prior to law school, Michael worked as a technology consultant.
