L. Lou Allen is a Member in the firm's Atlanta office and is a member of the Creditors' Rights & Bankruptcy Service Group. Her practice focus is in the representation of institutional lenders throughout the State of Georgia in all areas of creditors' rights including foreclosure, bankruptcy, financial institutions litigation and workouts.
Recent Engagements
- Served as Chapter 7 Trustee for the investigation and liquidation of a major Atlanta big box retailer with international lender involvement
- As Chapter 11 Trustee, successfully reorganized a multi-state multi-million dollar minority cleaning contractor specializing in military hospitals
- Investigated and liquidated a major recording artist's recording studio in Atlanta whose secured creditor was the company of his entertainer wife
- Represented institutional lender in workout of multi-million dollar credit facility involving a shopping center

Before Stites & Harbison
Previously, Lou had been a member of a boutique creditors' rights and bankruptcy law firm since 2000. From 1993 to 2000, she was a shareholder in a medium sized Atlanta law firm where she practiced creditors' rights and bankruptcy. Prior to law school, she owned and operated the first fine dining restaurant in the Virgnia-Highlands area of Atlanta.

Lou has served on the Private Panel of Trustees for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia since 1989.

Lou is an avid swimmer and golfer and is a member of the Hole in One Club.
