Bill Ferrell is a Member of the firm and a Registered Patent Attorney. He is a member of the Intellectual Property & Technology Service Group where his practice primarily focuses on patent litigation. Bill also focuses on other patent-related aspects of intellectual property, including: trademark and copyright litigation, patent drafting; patent prosecution; and counseling clients on validity and patentability. He was named a "Rising Star" by Mid-South Super Lawyers for 2012 and in 2013, was named to the inaugural "IP Stars" list by Managing Intellectual Property magazine.

Before working at Stites & Harbison, Bill served as an engineering intern with a manufacturer of endoscopic surgical instruments in Atlanta, Georgia, and worked as an engineer for United Parcel Service Airlines in Louisville, Kentucky.
