James Timothy White (Tim) is a Member of the Creditor's Rights and Bankruptcy Section and an adjunct member of the Banking and Real Estate Section. His primary emphasis is on representing banks in work-outs and providing counsel in their day-to-day operational problems and relationships with customers, other banks, and governmental agencies.
Tim routinely handles litigation involving banks and other lenders. His bankruptcy experience covers all phases of secured creditor representation. Presented recent developments in banking law to the Georgia Community Banker's Association in Fall 2004. Tim has practiced in Atlanta since graduating from Vanderbilt Law School in 1964. Prior to law school, he attended University of Tennessee at Martin focusing on pre-law curriculum. He was a partner at Varner, Stephens, Humphries & White prior to its merger with Stites & Harbison in 1999. Tim has maintained a lifelong interest in math and science. He is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and has traveled to the Big Island of Hawaii and to Munich, Germany to view total solar eclipses.Recent Assignments
