Dianna also counsels clients on a range of employment law matters, including hiring and firing decisions, reductions in force, employee manuals, employment agreements and other policy issues. She routinely handles employment litigation of all types, including Title VII suits and actions filed pursuant to The Americans with Disabilities Act and The Family and Medical Leave Act. Dianna received her B.A./Biology degree from the University of Missouri in 1982. She was pursuing an advanced degree in molecular biology when she decided to attend law school. After graduation from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1987, Dianna joined the law firm of Farris, Warfield and Kanaday, which merged with Stites & Harbison in 2001. Dianna is a member of the Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations, as well as the Tennessee Lawyers' Association for Women. She is chair of the Regional Planning Commission for the Town of Kingston Springs, Tennessee. She also serves on the Board of Directors of The Ark Community Resource & Assistance Center, Inc., which provides various types of assistance to individuals and families in south Cheatham County, Tennessee. Dianna enjoys running (six half marathons, so far), hiking, skiing, photography and all other activities her kids are not embarrassed to do with their parents.
A seasoned litigator, Dianna has deep experience practicing before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, and representing her clients' interests in mediations and arbitrations. Her litigation practice focuses on general business, product liability and employment issues. She was named to the Nashville Business Journal's "Best of the Bar" in 2008 and 2009.Recent Assignments
