Community Involvement
David Porter is chair of the firm's Personal Services Group. His practice focuses on trusts and estate administration, estate planning and charitable giving, charitable and non-profit organizations, estate and gift taxes, probate, and fiduciary law. He is listed in Kentucky Super Lawyers 2010-11 magazine and in The Best Lawyers in America® (2009-2012) for Trusts & Estates Law and Trusts & Estate Litigation in 2012.

More Than Stites & Harbison
David is a member of the Western Kentucky University Board of Regents (2008-14) and serves as Chair of the Finance Committee. He is also a board member of the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation, Lexington Medical Society Foundation, Inc. and Lexington Public Library Foundation, Inc. David has served numerous civic and professional organizations which include the Kentucky Council on Higher Education (1988-96, Vice Chair, Chair of Finance Committee) and Kentucky Task Group on Tuition Policy Review (1991, 1995, Executive Committee Member and Chairman). In addition, he has served the Bluegrass Council Boy Scouts of America (Executive Board); Lexington Philharmonic Society, Inc. (President, 1994); and Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Public Building Corporation (Board Representative).
