Community Involvement
Allen Morris is partner in charge of the firm's Jeffersonville office. As a bankruptcy and creditors' rights attorney, he has recovered assets and counseled on real estate foreclosure, replevin and collection. He has experience in state and federal courts. Mr. Morris is listed in the 2011 Indiana Super Lawyers magazine for Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights.
His other practice focus is the public sector. This includes zoning law and practicing before local planning commissions and land-use boards of appeal.
Recent Assignments
- Participated in and directed multi-million dollar collection and foreclosure actions in both Indiana and Kentucky
- Represented banks in several large, commercial foreclosure actions and bankruptcies
- Represents Town of Borden and Borden Tri-County Regional Water District
- Saved the Borden Tri-County Regional Water District approximately $250,000 in bond payments

Before Stites & Harbison
Mr. Morris served as the City Attorney for the City of Jeffersonville and attorney for the Jeffersonville Flood Control District and the Jeffersonville City Council. Before that he was engaged in a large collection practice. He was commissioned in the United States Navy in 1972 and served as a Supply Corps Officer on the USS Independence CV 62 until May 1975.

Allen serves as an Elder of the Clarksville Church of Christ, where he also is a member of the Board of Directors. He served as a board member of the Dollars for Scholars and also served a four-year term as an elected member of the West Clark Community School Board. He is First Vice President of the Borden Lions Club and he has previously served on the Clark County Youth Board.
