Matt Mashburn's practice is focused on commercial real estate lending, sales and transfers, banking, commercial real estate litigation, creditor's rights, foreclosure, confirmation actions and landlord and tenant law. He has performed foreclosures and evictions for over twenty years and frequently holds seminars and workshops for his lender clients on those topics. He has been listed in Georgia Super Lawyers magazine since 2008.
Recent Assignments
- Served as counsel in the liquidation and sale of a major oil company's real property in Georgia
- Representation involving the $10 million acquisition, development, construction and "mini-permanent" loan for construction of apartments at an Atlanta-area university
- Representation involving an $8.9 million acquisition and development loan for the development of a subdivision by a major Atlanta developer and home seller
- Representation involving a $5+ million construction and permanent loan for construction of warehouse/showroom space for a major distributor of marble
- Represent lenders in the enforcement of and separation from Participation Agreements
- Represent banks in their day to day operations with respect to issues which arise from branch operations and interaction between the lender and the public

Matt has been an instructor in the College of Continuing Education at Kennesaw State University for twenty-two years teaching Real Estate Law in the paralegal program. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Alumni Association of the University of Georgia.
