Catherine Banich is Counsel in Stites & Harbison's Atlanta office. She is a member of the firm's Business Litigation Service Group. Her practice focuses on financial institutions litigation and complex commercial disputes, including contracts and business torts, trade secrets, restrictive covenants and employment law. Ms. Banich is an experienced litigator at the administrative, trial and appellate levels.

Ms. Banich is also a member of the firm's Employment Service Group. She regularly assists employers in successfully avoiding litigation. She analyzes, reviews and drafts employee handbooks, employment contracts, non-solicitation agreements, covenants not to compete and confidentiality agreements protecting trade secrets. She also advises and counsels in matters relating to wrongful discharge, employment discrimination disputes, minimum wage and overtime problems, and employment contracts and policies.

Recent Assignments

  • Obtained significant attorneys' fee award on behalf of a large financial institution
  • Conducted sexual harassment investigation for large non-profit organization
  • Helped to obtain an order vacating the grant of summary judgment in a multi-billion dollar litigation involving Indian gaming casinos
