The firm actively encourages its attorneys in all eight of its offices to take leadership roles in civic and charitable work in their communities. Members of the firm have served on charitable and civic boards ranging literally from A to Z: from the Atlanta Chapter of the American Red Cross to Land Trust for
Tennessee to the Louisville Zoo. Half of the firm's lawyers currently serve on at least one board or in a similar capacity, and the firm's staff shows the same kind of commitment.
For more than a dozen years, Stites & Harbison has contributed to local charities in each of the firm's cities to recognize and thank our clients and friends during the holiday season. In 2008, the firm contributed to the following charities: Children's National Medical Center (Alexandria, Virginia); Initiative for Affordable Housing (Atlanta, Georgia); Alzheimer's Association - Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter (Frankfort, Kentucky); Salvation Army of New Albany (Jeffersonville, Indiana); Fayette Education Foundation (Lexington, Kentucky); Kosair Charities Pediatric Cancer Research Center at the University of Louisville Cancer Center (Louisville, Kentucky); and Habitat for Humanity, Nashville Chapter (Nashville, Tennessee).
